Il priore Enzo Bianchi e la comunità di Bose accompagnano con la preghiera mons. Kurt Koch in questo suo nuovo incarico e ricordano con gratitudine il lavoro fatto negli anni del suo incarico dal cardinale Walter Kasper
2 July 2010
Pope Benedict XVI has named bishop Kurt Koch of Basel as president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. Bishop Koch comes from the Swiss canton of Lucerne; he studied theology at the University of Lucerne as well as at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and later taught dogmatics and liturgy at the Theological faculty of the University of Lucerne. Since 2002 bishop Koch has been a member of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and between 2007 and 2009 was president of the Swiss Bishops’ Conference.
Prior Enzo Bianchi and the community of Bose accompany with prayer bishop Kurt Koch in his new post:
“In the exercise of your ministry you can always count on the faithful prayer and sincere friendship of me personally and of all the ecumenical monastic community of Bose, and from the vespers of this evening we have made special intercession. Our invocation rises to the Lord that he may continually give you steadfastness, perseverance, and clairvoyance, so as to gather ever more fruits of the Gospel, peace, fraternity, koinonia, mercy.”
(from the message sent)
We moreover recall with gratitude to the Lord his predecessor, cardinal Walter Kasper, keeping in our heart his visits to Bose and his messages on the occasion of the International Ecumenical Conferences.
